MISSION STATEMENT

The CYC was established to offer young people with a love of singing an opportunity to develop their talent through healthy vocal instruction, to sing a variety of classical and folk literature, and to experience the joy of achieving excellence in making music. We believe that by providing youth with a rich and varied range of musical repertoire, our choristers and our audiences alike will find the CYC a truly enjoyable experience. The CYC brings youth together from a wide area, sharing a similar interest, to develop discipline and poise by offering their gift of music to audiences in the Chesapeake Bay area.
The Chesapeake Youth Chorale is funded in part by grants from the
Maryland State Arts Council, the Queen Anne's County Arts Council,
the Talbot County Arts Council, the Kent County Arts Council,
the Community Partnerships For Children,
and the United Way.
